Life
Took off to L.S.U for college, met husband. Lived in Baton Rouge for 5 years while he got his Ph.D. and then we did the most logical thing and backpacked through Europe and Asia for 6 months, lived in New Zealand for 3 years, lived in Malaysia for 11 months,retraced steps through E. and A. for 5 months, moved to Minnesota..boring! Have two boys in college, looking forward to retiring from teaching (1st) in about 4 yrs! Play competitive tennis on a traveling team.
August, 2010..update
I kind of let my membership slide, but I'm back in force. Still looking at retiring..maybe this year. I could have gone three years ago, but I love it , the school and my teacher friends. When I do finally take the leap, I want to go to Italy and live for three months and take cooking lessons...not that I can't cook, but I love to travel. I'd also like to get back into backpacking up in Yellowstone or Baniff or even on the North Shore along Lake Superior. So much to do..so little time! For those of you who knew my parents, they are now 92 and 93 and still living in their own home..mom's not well but dad is a real trooper...still drives (OH MY GOD!) My 27 yr. old son got married last November, bought a house and rescued two cats. So much for grandchildren. My 29 year old son lives with us and is finishing college (better late than never). Strange to have him still in the house but he makes me laugh and took care of the cat when my husband and I left town. Hopefully my main man will retire when I do and we can ride off into the sunset together.
I'm still into tennis big time. I play three times a week plus lesso...Expand for more
ns and excercise the rest of the days.
I'd love to see you guys from 1964 at a reunion some time..let me know!

Well....I took the BIG step in June and retired after 36 years of teaching.....30 with the Minneapolis public schools. I LOVE retirement. I'm having a great time and get paid for it! Playing tennis five times a week..trying to cut down on the traveling night time matches and play mostly out of my club during the day now. Also started playing singles tennis this fall. It's a different brain set from doubles....every ball is mine! Also doing a huge remodeling job on our home..totally gutting the first floor and master bath. We'll be done in January.. I love picking out all the new stuff. Look forward to a reunion soon....at least for our 50th???
November 2015... Well, I missed the 50 reunion in Valdosta, but I really didn't graduate from there but had gone to 7th,8th,9th, and 10th grade there. Still follow Valdosta friends on Classmates. Flew in and out of Valdosta on my way to 50th reunion in Tallahassee. Really blew my mind at the changes to the town. Saw there were tennis courts across the street on Baytree Drive where I used to live! Speaking of tennis, I still play four times a week and am on two daytime traveling teams. I'm also hanging out with my dad every day since I moved my parents up here to an assisted living place. Haven't moved to Italy for cooking classes yet, but have made several trips to China and Vietnam for business and pleasure this past year or so. Can't get that man to retire! One grandchild, an eight month old beautiful girl named Isabella. Life is good.
